We spent some weeks in Indonesia to visit family, to work, and to enjoy each other, life and nature. The first two weeks with my wife and daughter and the last week we were joined by our son and his girlfriend. It was beautiful.
Nature is amazing in this part of the world. The biodiversity is incredible and the beauty overwhelming. I climbed volcanoes, bicycled in the jungle, through rice-paddies and we sailed the sea and snorkelled to watch coral and wonderfully coloured fish. I felt very much alive. Reading the new book by my colleague Peter Hawkins: ‘Beauty in Leadership and Coaching’, combined with the immense beauty of the country makes me realise that I want more of this in my life. Not sure yet what it will look like but to pick up again photography is a first step.
