Today I had a meeting with 20 teachers who practiced the U-dialogue with their students the past year. APS (consultancy specialized in schools) facilitated them and gave short training programs during the year. Today I was asked to evaluate it with them, bring some new content and look forward to the next steps. I was impressed by the dedication of the teachers and their willingness to relate in a new way with their students. Non hierarchical, open ended conversations in which they were keen to learn something themselves. They were aware of their own preliminary judgments about the kids and their fears: what if these kids really don’t want to learn English? What is my role at school then? We dove into their deeper intentions and what they are there for themselves. I enjoyed it.

In between I showed the video of Walter Lewin, professor at MIT. He is somebody who has found his mission and achieved his highest potential while doing so: http://youtu.be/7Zc9Nuoe2Ow
